Janie is a Licensed Professional Counselor - Supervisor in Texas. She is trained in Play Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). She has professionally served individuals, families, youth, and children for more than two decades through private practice counseling and local community service programs. She founded MOBILE COUNSELING, PLLC in 2011 as a supportive therapeutic counseling practice where clients can explore their own emotional needs and overcome barriers that limit their full potential by meeting clients where they are most comfortable – in our office, at their home, or online.  

Janie was appointed by Governor Gregg Abbott as a professional member of the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors in 2018. She also serves as the chair of the Community Resource Coordination Group for Dallas County, and past-chair of the President’s Assembly Steering Committee for the National Association of Women Business Owners.
